RiskSummit 2010

July 25-27, The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Carlsbad, CA

Breaking Away

RiskSummit 2010 will focus on the new assumptions driving future mortgage origination, servicing and securitization. Risk management tools will be absolute and required as critical factors to restoring liquidity to the primary and secondary markets. RiskSummit is uniquely positioned as an early forum to discuss and detail the upcoming changes that will forever change the industry landscape. Dynamic insight into real-time risk management will now be key across the entire spectrum of risk analysis and execution:

  • Monitoring, managing, modifying and mitigating loss in existing loan portfolios
  • Establishing new origination and servicing guidelines and underwriting that will resonate with all investors
  • Identifying and valuing assets—distressed and otherwise—seasoned or new
  • Performing quick and thorough due diligence, whether buying, selling or monitoring
  • Overseeing or taking part in new government programs, smoothly, transparently and profitably

RiskSummit 2010 will be about positioning yourself and your company to take advantage of and help shape this marketplace as it evolves. RiskSummit will offer you expert guidance to decide those steps you should take to accomplish your goals. It will provide concrete understanding of the forces at work in this new marketplace and explore innovative tools and techniques to help turn possibilities into profitable outcomes.

Keynote Speaker

Lou Dobbs Keynote – The Political Economy

Lou Dobbs is a legendary broadcaster, best-selling author and one of the most respected and insightful voices on politics, economics, society and business. For three decades, Dobbs has brought an unwavering American perspective to the most important issues of our day, whether national security, sustainable economic growth and prosperity, global business, finance and trade, or education and public investment.

Provocative and fearless in his analysis and criticism of leaders and institutions that have failed the United States and American society, Dobbs challenges the status quo at home and abroad. He lays out solutions for moving America forward and restoring the American dream for millions of middle class working men and women. He offers prescriptions to rejuvenate the nation’s manufacturing sector, invigorate education and innovation, secure our nation’s borders and ports, and resolve our immigration crisis rationally, humanely and in the national interest. Dobbs says our strength of will and independence of mind assure America’s return to prosperity, so long as we elect leaders of like spirit who preserve our great national values and ideals.

Dobbs hosts a daily nationally syndicated radio program and anchors three financial radio reports daily. He has also written important examinations of the American political economy that, in some instances, anticipated by years, many of the issues that challenge our nation today. Dobbs is the author of Exporting America, War on the Middle Class and Independents Day: Awakening the American Spirit.

In his stirring, forward-looking presentation, Lou Dobbs calls upon audiences to join in the national dialogue that will help shape our future. Whether confronting issues of economics, trade, national security, immigration or border security, education or corporate responsibility, Dobbs shows the need to break away from partisan politics, political correctness and ideological orthodoxies that limit our pubic debates rather than inspire them. Instead, Dobbs offers audiences his broad knowledge, illuminating anecdotes and sense of humor and history, while displaying his passionate commitment to the founding ideals of independence, personal freedom and equality that will guide us to realization of our national promise.

The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort

RiskSummit 2010 again returns to the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad, CA, our traditional home in past years. This legendary resort, a compact, easy-to-navigate environment, is the all-time favorite RiskSummit location. With special pricing for this year’s event, it is also less expensive than before. If this is your first RiskSummit, the beautiful Spanish-colonial Aviara is located on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean in northern San Diego county and offers amazing views, world-class dining, an exceptional spa and an Arnold Palmer-signature golf course. All RiskSummit events—with the exception of Monday afternoon’s off-site sailing, mountain biking and kayaking—will take place in conference and meeting rooms inside the Aviara’s main building, which is also where most of the guest rooms are located, making it easy to get around during the 3-day event.
