Founder of The Daily Caller, one of the largest and fastest growing news sites in the country, Tucker was previously the co-host of Fox and Friends Weekend. He joined FOX from MSNBC, where he hosted several nightly programs. Previously, he was also the co-host of Crossfire on CNN, as well as the host of a weekly public affairs program on PBS.

In a penetrating look at housing policy and the regulatory outlook in today's political climate, Tucker Carlson will take us behind closed doors, offering a candid, up-to-the-moment analysis of events. Prior to June 1, 2017, DeMarco was the senior fellow in residence at the Milken Institute Center for Financial Markets and former acting director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). Ed DeMarco’s speech will follow this year’s conference focus on innovation and transformation – all designed to provide the intelligence and insights you need for your business to thrive.


Frank Nothaft - Economic Update: Perspective and Trends in Housing

Frank Nothaft RiskSummit Economic UpdateFrank Nothaft, Executive, Chief Economist, CoreLogic, leads the Office of the Chief Economist and is responsible for analysis, commentary and forecasting trends in global real estate, insurance and mortgage markets. Before joining CoreLogic, Dr. Nothaft  served in a variety of leadership positions with increasing responsibility at Freddie Mac.  Dr. Nothaft will present an economic update to include rising interest rates that are up about 0.5 percentage points since last summer and how many projections place rates on fixed-rate mortgages at 4.5% in the coming year. If so, then mortgage rates would be at their highest level since 2011. Discussion will explore the effect of higher rates on:

- Affordability
- Owner mobility
- For-sale inventory
-Credit and fraud risk

    • Urban Housing Rebound – The changing demand for urban real estate has ramifications for mortgage across metropolitan areas. As city properties grow in value, the demand for suburban properties diminishes, causing an increase in risk.
    • Mistaken Market Perceptions – Public belief holds that mortgage underwriting has become tight, but data shows that low-credit borrowers are not applying in the same rates as before, causing a dip in demand rather than product.
