National Home Prices Increased 6.7 Percent Year Over Year in October 2016

The October 2016 Home Price Index shows that national home prices appreciated 6.7 percent from a year ago and were 4.7 percent below the 2006 peak. CoreLogic is forecasting an increase of 4.6 percent during the next year, putting prices back to the prior peak in 2017. After adjusting for inflation, prices are still almost 19 percent below peak. The Western states continued to outpace the rest of the nation in October, with top five states for home price growth all occurring in the west. To learn more click the link to get the full report.
