The CoreLogic Home Price Index for February 2020 shows U.S. home prices increased 4.1% year over year. The annual price gain for February was a bit higher than for the prior month and the prior year, showing that home prices were starting to heat up in early-2020 before the Coronavirus outbreak. While most states showed annual price gains in February, Illinois, North Dakota, Louisiana, and New York all posted annual gains of less than 2% and Connecticut actually showed a small decrease.
