ICoreLogic® has released its monthly residential Southern California home sales numbers for September 2024. This includes data for new and resale single-family homes and resale condominiums from six counties in the region: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura.
Southern California September Median Sales Prices and Annual Changes
- The median sales price for all tracked properties in Southern California was $765,000 in September, a year-over-year increase of 5.5% for the region. All six counties in the region posted year-over-year home price gains: Orange (11.6%), San Diego (6.2%), Riverside (5.4%), San Bernardino (3.2%), Los Angeles (1.6%), Ventura (1.2%) and Riverside 0.4%).
- Orange County again posted the highest median sales price in Southern California, at $1.18 million, followed by San Diego ($880,000) Los Angeles ($850,000), Ventura ($820,000), Riverside ($550,000) and San Bernardino ($499,000) counties.

Southern California September Home Sales Volume and Annual Changes
- Southern California home sales volume declined by -5.9% from September 2023, with five of six counties posting annual losses: San Bernardino -,(18.2%), Riverside, (-8.2%), Orange (-7%) San Diego (-6.4%) and Ventura (-2.6%) counties posting annual losses.
- Los Angeles County posted the region’s only sales volume gain in September, at 1.5%.
