Have you already given up on your New Year’s Resolution to get healthy? Most people start the New Year with big plans to take better care of themselves, but without a little external encouragement, many of us quickly fall out of the habit. That’s why we’ve made “Live More” into a pillar of our CoreLogic Connect initiative.
We encourage our employees to embrace wellness both on the job and in their daily lives by creating regular opportunities for employees to increase their total wellbeing. Throughout the past year, CoreLogic employees have enjoyed a wide range of fun and constructive activities all designed to enhance their physical, mental and social health.
In our Bloomington office, the Live More team hosted a daily “Landmark of the Day” scavenger hunt, where participants who located the landmark earned raffle tickets toward a prize drawing at the end of the event. The office also held a “Trim the Winter Layer” weight loss competition, with prizes for the team with the highest percentage of weight loss. Apart from competitions, the office also hosted a tai chi demonstration and free monthly yoga classes to help employees stay fit.
Our Irvine headquarters has begun hosting Wellness Wednesdays, featuring a “Bring Your Lunch to Work” initiative. All employees received a CoreLogic-branded lunch bag containing a reusable bowl, utensils and water bottle. Employees can use this bag as part of a weekly challenge on our wellness platform to bring a tasty and nutritious lunch to work every Wednesday. The Challenge runs from January 30 to February 27.
Employees at the Irving office recently participated in the One Run Texas 5K fundraising event for the North Texas Cancer Support Community. All 50 spots were filled, and some CoreLogic runners even placed in their age groups! The office is looking forward to future events that include an Elevator Avoidance campaign in April and a Rush Hour Aerobic break starting in March as precursors to the corporate step challenge in May.
Other offices are putting on a wide range of activities. Milwaukee is currently holding a Q1 wellness challenge, with three different classes per month and five challenges on our wellness platform. Sunrise put on a Hot Seat Challenge as well as yoga and self-defense classes. Oxford is currently hosting a six-week Biggest Loser contest, with weekly prizes and a grand prize for overall winner. Employees at Beaverton recently showed their support for wellness by participating in a blood drive and a cancer walk.
We look forward to even more events in the coming months to help us all stay healthy, happy and engaged!
