Consumer Authorization Requirement
All CoreLogic end-user customers are contractually required to obtain signed written, recorded verbal or electronic authorization from each consumer prior to ordering a credit report on that consumer. These authorizations must be maintained by the customer for at least five years in a format that can be readily provided to CoreLogic for auditing purposes.

Qualities of a valid Consumer Authorization include:
- Clear indication that the consumer authorized the customer to obtain a credit report on the consumer; and
- Full name of the consumer; and
- Signed written, electronic, or recorded verbal authorization, as applicable; and
- An authorization date that reflects either: (a) the same date of, or (b) a date within a reasonable period of time prior to, the credit report request date.
