CoreLogic Credco is a consumer reporting agency that assembles and evaluates consumer information and provides consumer reports to third parties for the purpose of extending offers of credit, and/or other purposes as permitted by law. The Consumer Assistance Department at Credco can provide you with a copy of the information we maintain about you that may be used in determining this information.

What is a consumer file disclosure?

A consumer file disclosure furnishes you with all of the information that CoreLogic Credco maintains on you in your consumer file that could be delivered by Credco to a third party (e.g., mortgage lender) in a consumer report. You are entitled to receive a disclosure copy of your consumer file from CoreLogic Credco under federal law and various state laws.

How can I obtain a copy of my CoreLogic Credco consumer file?

If you would like to obtain a copy of your CoreLogic Credco consumer file, please contact CoreLogic Credco’s consumer relations department indicating that you would like a disclosure copy of your consumer file

How can I get my free annual credit report from nationwide consumer credit reporting companies?

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”) allows you to get one free copy of all the information in your credit file from each of three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion) once every 12 months through a central source. To request your free annual report under the FCRA, go to www.annualcreditreport.com, call toll free (877) 322-8228, or use the mail request form available at the central source website and mail to Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA, 30348-5281.

Disputing errors in your CoreLogic Credco Consumer File

The CoreLogic Credco Consumer File contains information maintained by CoreLogic Credco. However, your lender may have obtained a report that contains additional information from the three national consumer credit reporting companies, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. If you are unsure whether the information you are concerned about comes from CoreLogic Credco or from the national credit reporting companies, we encourage you to get a copy of your CoreLogic Credco Consumer File first. How do I dispute information contained in my Corelogic Credco consumer file?

If you believe information contained in your CoreLogic Credco consumer file is inaccurate, here’s how you can notify us to dispute such information:

  1. Call us at (877) 532-8778.
    Our customer service representatives are available Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM pacific time to assist you with the dispute process; or
  2. Mail us your dispute. Our address is as follows:

Please provide us with the following information in order to assist us in reinvestigating your dispute:

  1. Your full name;

  5. A description of the item(s) of information contained in your CoreLogic Credco consumer file that you believe are inaccurate, along with a detailed explanation as to why you believe these items may be inaccurate; and

Once we receive this information, we will reinvestigate the disputed information, update your consumer file if our investigation determines that the information is incorrect, and send you the results, usually within 30 days.

What is a Security Freeze?

A security freeze, when properly placed, limits when a consumer reporting agency, such as CoreLogic Credco (“Credco”), can release the information it has on you to users of our services without your providing a PIN to unlock such information. A security freeze may be used by anyone, even those who do not believe they have been a victim of fraud, including identity theft. To place a security freeze on your Credco consumer file, please read these instructions carefully.

What happens if I request a Security Freeze with Credco?

While the law varies from state to state, in general, you may request a security freeze to be placed upon your consumer file. Credco will, upon such request and proper identification, place a security freeze on your Credco consumer file. Once a security freeze is in place, Credco will provide you with a personal PIN. Once frozen, your Credco consumer file will only be released, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law, when you directly contact Credco, provide us with your personal PIN, and request that any information Credco has on you be released.

What is frozen when I place a Security Freeze with Credco?

At your request, we will place a security freeze on the information we maintain on you in your consumer file, which mainly consists of property transactions and public record information. If you wish to place a security freeze on your credit report with the 3 nationwide consumer credit reporting companies (Equifax, Experian and TransUnion), you will need to contact those companies directly. How Do I place a Security Freeze with Credco?

If you would like to place a security freeze, please contact Credco’s consumer relations department indicating that you would like to place a security freeze. You may contact Credco’s consumer relations by phone or mail. You must provide the following information in order to request to place a security freeze:

  1. Your full name;
  2. Your current address, including apartment number and ZIP Code;
  3. Your Social Security number/Taxpayer Identification Number and;
  4. Your date of birth;

Credco will not be able to process your request if you fail to provide any of the above listed information.

What will happen if I apply for credit, a mortgage or other service when there is a Security Freeze placed on my Credco consumer file?

Please note that placement of a security freeze on your Credco consumer file may delay processing of applications for credit, a mortgage, or other credit service. If you place a freeze, you may want to lift the freeze before applying for new credit.

How do I lift or remove a Security Freeze when I apply for credit, a mortgage or other credit service?

Instructions for lifting and removing security freezes on your Credco consumer file are as follows:

  1. Write to request your lift or removal of the freeze by mail to:
