CoreLogic® has released its monthly residential Southern California home sales numbers for December 2023. This includes data for new and resale single-family homes and resale condominiums from six counties in the region: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura.
Southern California December 2023 Median Home Sales Prices
- The median sales price for all tracked properties in Southern California was $720,000 in December, a year-over-year increase of 5.1% for the region. All counties in the region saw annual home price gains: Orange (17.6%), Ventura (6.5%), Los Angeles (5.8%), San Diego (5.6%), Riverside (0.9%) and San Bernardino (0.3%).
- Orange County again posted the region’s highest median sales price, at $1.1 million, followed by Los Angeles ($820,000), San Diego ($800,000), Ventura ($786,000), Riverside ($550,000) and San Bernardino ($481,500) counties.

Southern California December 2023 Home Sales Activity
- Southern California home sales volume declined by -5.1% from December 2022, with all six counties posting annual decreases.
- San Diego County posted the region’s largest year-over-year decline in home sales at -18.1%. All other counties in the region also recorded annual transaction decreases in October: Ventura (-9.1%), Orange (-5.3%), Los Angeles (-1.6%), Riverside (-1.5%) and San Bernardino (-1.4%).
